Much of College Park was built in the 1940s and 50s: brick ramblers and small colonials on level lots that are easy to irrigate well. A four- or five-zone system on Hunter or Rain Bird covers most of them. If the house already has one, a spring start-up and a controller reprogram usually gets it running the way it should.
Rentals and family homes
Some College Park houses are lived in by the owners and some are rented. Either way a working sprinkler system and decent lighting keep the place looking cared for. We do fall blow-outs on a schedule so a tenant does not have to remember.

A wash on the front, path lights on the walk, and a fixture at the side door. Simple, on a timer, and it runs for pennies.
